Zion National Park: Part 2 (Angel's Landing Hike)
It was my first time in Zion so it was essential that we hiked to Angel's Landing, which is a 5-mile unforgettable adventure and worthy of all bucket lists! Before hitting the trail-head, my friends and I got breakfast at Deep Creek Coffee Company, this AMAZING little coffee shop in Springdale. If you're in the area, I insist that you try their acai bowls, smoothies, and coffee! Oh, and their pastries are pretty bomb too.
We took the shuttle through the park and got off at the Grotto Trailhead, which leads you to the Angels Landing and Upper Emerald Pools hike. To get to the top we had to walk up steep switchbacks and eventually hold onto these chains to safely climb up some perilous sections of the trail. Yay, arm workout! The whole experience was surreal, especially when we made it to the top and got a 360 degree view of the canyon's 270 million-year old rock layers!
